For Swift, singing about love — real love — was a rite of passage. She needed to earn it, and after years of break-ups, make-ups, and countless classic ballads in between, she’s finally grasping what she’s long been reaching towards. Lover is the sound of a songwriter writing the album she has always wanted to write. Like falling in love, it feels better than you imagined.
BRITTANY SPANOS - Rolling Stone - Lover review - On ‘Lover,’ Taylor Swift Makes Everything Feel Real
#i am a fan of this narrative and would like it to continue
“Get up early. Keep your cool. Don’t tee off on people you love. Laugh more. You can control your moods. Create a love account and make deposits, in other words, show people that you love them. Tell people that you love them.”— Taylor Swift on self-care, Lover Deluxe Album (Volume One)
“This is something that fluctuates for me, but right now at this particular moment, it’s “our songs, our films united we stand, our country, guess it was a lawless land, quiet my fears with the touch of your hand, paper cut stains from our paper-thin plans”, that was a fun one to write.”— Taylor Swift on favorite lyric from Lover (SiriusXM)
my bond with taylor swift started when I was 14-years old and now I’m 22 and I think by now it’s a permanent thing that can never be broken no matter how long. I’ll always remember her as the artist I’m listening to for all of my teenage years. There’s so much memories in there that you just can’t deny the fact that Taylor had been a big part of my life. I could be 60 and I would still remember my teenage years with Taylor in it.
Now I’m 24. We’re still going strong 💪
my college doormates, my best friend, my ex bf all messaged me that lover is so good and i just realized how many people around me i turned into swifties since highschool up to now that I’m 24. It’s cute
